Swansea's Welcome Mat announces the pride the community takes in its history and identity. The design references important manufacturing enterprises -- such as coal mining, nail manufacture, and brick production. The beloved original schoolhouse also plays a key role in the composition, as does the inclusion of the rolling hills and farm. Design by Shirley Sarrach.
